Welcome to the website of Geneva Center of Sathya Sai International Organization Switzerland
Geneva being a French speaking region of Switzerland, information on this website is in both languages i.e. English and French. Both languages are used extensively in the Geneva Sai Centre for reading out spiritual texts, discussions, study circles, lectures etc. Translation and simultaneous interpretation is done from one language to another.
Please go through the various sections in this site and note the activities that are being carried out by the Geneva Sathya Sai Centre (under News). Please give us your constructive comments so that we can improve this website (and eventually the world with His help and grace).
Our mission / Notre mission
Sathya Sai Centre Geneva is an integral part of the Sathya Sai International Organization of Switzerland which forms a part of the World Sathya Sai international Organization.
The organization follows the teachings of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Saibaba who lives in Puttaparthy, South of India. His teachings are mainly devoted to the moral and spiritual uplift of humanity through Human Values i.e. Truth (Satya), Righteousness (Dharma), Peace (Shanti), Love (Prema), and Non-violence (Ahimsa). A main part of the Organization, in addition to singing of spiritual songs (bhajans) in Sanskrit, English and French, is the seva (service) activity. Sathya Saibaba says that hands that help are holier than lips that pray. A lot of effort is also put in to providing EDUCARE to the children. EDUCARE is the inculcation (with care) of education in human values to the children so that they become better adults and create a better world full of truth, righteousness, peace, love, and non-violence.
Light meditation is carried out regularly. An explanation in French is given on the Meditation page giving the reasons / benefits of light meditation in the form of questions by Dr. Hislop and answers by Saibaba.
Sai Baba puts a lot of emphasis on the Five Human Values Truth (Satya), Right Conduct (Dharma), Peace (Shanti), Love (Prema) and Non-Violence (Ahimsa). On the Human Values page, there is an explanation in French of these five human values and their importance.
