DIRECTIONS TO THE CENTRE (BHAJAN HALL)

GETTING THERE BY CAR

Actually we do not have premises of our own. We rent a hall every Thursday. The centre is not very far from the airport. It does not take more than 10 to 12 minutes. Coming on the highway, from Lausanne/ North Switzerland side, there are two ways to enter Geneva. The airport direction or the lake direction. You have to take the airport direction. Watch out there are two radars (speed cameras). On the airport exit, again there are two roads. You have to take the road that goes to the airport. On this road, the airport (departures or arrivals) is on your right. You continue on this road. Just after, on your left you will see a green sign of the highway going to Lausanne. But you just have to go straight without turning anywhere. On your right you will see the Geneva World Trade Centre. Soon you will see a set of traffic lights and on the right you will see a car park building with red/purple metal bars. You have to turn right at the traffic lights and continue the road and then again turn right with the car park building always on your right. Here, you will be on a bridge and the road continues. The road is called Avenue Louis Casai. Go straight. After three sets of traffic lights (very short distances apart), you will see several multi-coloured apartment buildings on your right (they are called Avanchet Parc) and a tall glass building on your left. These are your land marks. You will then come to another set of traffic lights. After the traffic lights, you will see on your right a shopping center (mall) called Balexert. Go slow and take the left lane. Turn left into the SECOND street on your left (not the first). This street is Avenue Riant Park. Drive slowly as there are speed breakers (bumps). You will come to a roundabout. Take the right lane. Park your car wherever you find a parking. This is Avenue MERVELET. Number 13 is on your right. The place is called United Nations Quakers Office. This is a two-storey house with two gates. You have to enter through the big gate, walk a bit and enter the building. The hall is situated on the ground floor. Welcome.

GETTING THERE BY BUS

From the Geneva railway station, take either tram number 14 (going to Meyrin) or bus no. 10 (going to the airport). Get down at the stop called Bouchet. If you take tram number 14, you have to cross a small road. Above is a list of other buses /trams that reach Bouchet. As you get down from the bus, you will see a small coffee shop (Boulangerie) and a church (Eglise Apostolique Evangelique) in front of you. On the left hand side of the coffee shop, you will see a small one-way street going up. This street is called Charles GEORG. Go straight. At the end of the street, you enter Avenue Mervelet. Number 13 is on your left. The place is called United Nations Quakers Office. This is a two-storey house with two gates. You have to enter through the big gate, walk a bit and enter the building. The hall is situated on the ground floor. Welcome.
